Inside Text:
At this season of Hanukkah,
we recall the mighty miracles that
saved us as a people and a nation.
We honor the courage, faith and devotion of the Maccabees
as they faced a time of great adversity.
Our wish for you this Hanukkah, is that the same
God-given light that burned in the hearts of the Maccabees,
will set your own hearts aglow
with courage, faithfulness and strength.
Above all, we wish you the blessings of peace and love.

Artist Notes:
A crowd of happy people with upraised arms is seen in silhouette behind the flames of Hanukkah candles. A Star of David rises above the Shamash candle and sheds light on the people whose legs seem to emulate the dripping wax at the tip of the translucent candles. This unusual design for the Jewish Festival of Lights features stylized hanukkiah candle-cups that give the effect of gold, and nine Chanukah candles in a turquoise blue gradient. The Hebrew words "Baruch ata Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha Olam" are translated as "Blessed are You, Lord our God, King of the Universe," which is the traditional Jewish blessing accompanying the lighting of the candles on Sabbath as well as all Jewish holidays.
