"Bright Stars and Broad Stripes" is the navy blue hand lettered wording across the top of this card that honors our American flag. The wording is highlighted with small stars. Below, the historic figure of Betsy Ross sits on a couch, sewing the first American flag that had thirteen white stars in a circle on the blue field. The flag, like ours of today, has red and white stripes, the number of stars and stripes has just changed with the addition of more states to our union. The inside wording of the card says "Our American flag has had many versions of bright stars and bold stripes that have each represented life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness that we, as Americans, enjoy. Happy Flag Day!"
